Obituary

Wesley Holt Barrow, born on March 26, 1970, was a Champaign County resident. He passed away on August 18, 2017 at the age of 47 years surrounded by his parents, Dr. Robert and Lavonne Brunner in their rural Urbana home, and his father, Jon Barrow, of Florida.

He became a hero at an early age of 13 when he saved a little boy, a friend, and himself from the Sidney train derailment as at that time he and his family were living in Sidney, IL. He graduated from Unity High School, ---after having worked as a paper boy for ten years. He then joined the U.S. Marines for six years and served in the Gulf War and other areas of the Far East such as the Philippines and Hawaii. Returning from service he was accepted to the University of Illinois in Urbana where he achieved a B.S. degree. After his U of I experience, he was hired by Echo Lab, and then ultimately joined CMI of Champaign where he joined their team and proudly worked for some 17 years until he passed away.

He was preceded in death by his younger brother, Travis. He leaves behind brother David Barrow (Kim) of Nashville, TN and daughters Anna and Amanda Bear (Jeff) and their children Audrey and Logan. Also brothers Robert W. Brunner II of Chicago and William R. Brunner of Urbana are left behind. Also, a large number of cousins, aunts and uncles, and nieces and nephews are lovingly left behind.

His CMI family, Brad and Betsy Parks, of Champaign, IL, along with the office staff, and many throughout central Illinois will lovingly miss him.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
