Wendy L. Pacenta-Preston, 57 of Urbana died at 5:25 a.m. Monday, August 25, 2008 at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

There will be no public services. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 28, 2008 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana.

Wendy was born on December 21, 1950 in Champaign, the daughter of Maurice and Bea Pacenta.

Survivors include one son; Cameron Smilie of Normal and one sister; Maurine Taylor of Knoxville, Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Wendy graduated from Flossie Wiley School, Urbana Jr. High, Urbana High School and the University of Illinois with Bronze Tablet Honors and a Bachelor of Science degree in Radio & Television from the College of Communications.

She was a writer-producer, sales person, public relations, advertising and a professional actor, working for WKIO Radio, WICD-TV and WCIA-TV.

Wendy was a member of the Actors' Unions, Screen Actors Guild, American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, Actors Equity Association, Former member of the Urbana Park District Advisory Council.
