Warren Dale Moore 89, of Champaign died at 8:04 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2009 at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at Holy Catholic Church, Champaign. Father Stephen Willard will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Mayview. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Moore was born on January 1, 1920 in Urbana, the son of Jacob Edgar and Pervie Boyd Moore. He married Anastasia Christen on February 9, 1984 in Champaign; she died on April 8, 2004.

Survivors include five sons; John Moore of Chicago, Terry Moore of Mahomet, Danny Moore of Martinsburg, West Virginia, Michael Moore of Ogden and Dennis Moore of Memphis, Tennessee, two daughters; Kandie Hill of Urbana and Nancy Cain of Champaign, one sister; Betty Hubert of Gresham, Oregon, fourteen grandchildren, twenty nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by one son, four brothers and three sisters.

Mr. Moore was a maintenance worker for the University of Illinois.

He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Champaign, a life member of the VFW in Arkansas. He enjoyed fishing, jig saw puzzles and playing cards.

He served for thirteen and one half years in the Army and Navy.
