Wanda June Stone, 89, of Urbana passed away at 7:10 a.m. on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Presence Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Wanda was born on August 23, 1926 in Champaign to parents Noah and Zula Mae (Gordon) Wells. They preceded her in death. On May 28, 1947 she married William E. (Rocky) Stone in Champaign. Rocky passed away on July 18, 1999. Also preceding her in death were two brothers and one sister.

She is survived by her children; Linda S. Lyons of Urbana and William E. (Bill) Stone (Anna) of Philo. Four grandchildren, two step grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive her.

Wanda was a graduate of Champaign High School. She worked as a Bank Officer for over ten years at Champaign County Bank & Trust.

She was also a member of Webber Street Christian Church.

Wanda was a loving, kind and she never had an enemy. She enjoyed crafts, puzzles and playing cards with her friends and family. Wanda loved going to all of her grandkids events throughout the years. She was an avid Illini, Bulls, and Bears fan but she was the Biggest Cubs Fan Ever!!!
