Wanda L. Slade, 71 of Urbana, died at 1:13 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 10 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana with Rev. Glen Corbly officiating. Burial will be at Clements Cemetery, Urbana. Visitation will be from noon to service time at the funeral home on Wednesday.

Mrs. Slade was born May 2, 1938 in Decatur, the daughter of Morris and Opal (Smith) Bowen. She married John F. Slade on July 17, 1972 in Urbana and he survives. She is also survived by sons; Tim B. Miller of Urbana, Rusty L. Miller of Rantoul, daughter; Tammy Hayden of Urbana, grandchildren; John and Justin Miller and a sister; Nonie O'Dell of Denver, CO. She is preceded in death by sons; Todd and Steve Miller and sister; Wilma.

Mrs. Slade was a graduate of Urbana High School and worked as a housekeeper at the Armory House Dormitory in Champaign for twenty four years.
