URBANA, IL- Wanda M. Lemke, 86, of Urbana, died at 12:00 Noon, Friday, October 24, 2008 at the Champaign County Nursing Home in Urbana.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Monday, October 27, 2008 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL. Rev. Jim Hollis will officiate. Burial will be held at Prairie View Cemetery, rural Savoy, IL. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lemke was born May 2, 1922 at Louisville, IL, a daughter of Charles and Nell (Schoonover) Jenkins. She married Wayne Lemke on July 3, 1941 at St. Charles, Missouri. He preceded her in death in 1997. Survivors include: 2 Sons: David Lemke of Mahomet, IL and Charles Lemke of Urbana; 2 Daughters: Patsy Seeds of Urbana and Sharon Percival of Fruitland Park, Florida; 7 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren; a brother, Delbert Jenkins of Urbana and a sister, Virginia Bohrman of Champaign, also survive.

Mrs. Lemke attended school in Louisville, IL and retired from the University of Illinois after 23 years, having worked as a linen maid for the Pennsylvania Ave. Residence Hall. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Urbana and she was also a member of the Champaign Sportsmans Club. She enjoyed reading, travelling and her family.
