Wanda Jean Kuhns 79 of Mahomet died at 12:21 a.m. Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

There will be no public services. Burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery, Urbana. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Wanda was born on March 16, 1930 in Lotus, the daughter of Roy R. and Fern Wallen Kuhns.

Survivors include two sisters; Dorothy Sosamon of Gibson City, Carol (Ken) Morton of Mahomet, several nieces and nephews, her lifelong friend Patsy Bradbury along with her little dog Sissy Sue.

She was preceded in death by one brother; Leland.

Wanda graduated from Bellflower H.S. in 1948.

She was a medical secretary at Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul for 25 years.

Wanda was a member of Bellflower United Methodist Church and was an Illini and Cubs fan.
