Wanda A. Franklin, 91 of Urbana died 3:20 a.m. Saturday, August 16 at Canterbury Ridge in Urbana.

Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 18 at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Mayview. Rev. Lee Galbraith officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana.

Mrs. Franklin was born August 20, 1916 in Urbana, the daughter of Alvin and Minnie (Rawley) Myers. She married Ancil L. Slightom on November 26, 1936 and he preceded her in death. She married Carroll Franklin and he preceded her in death in 1980. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Lou Mancuso of Westville, a son, Allan Slightom (Alberta) of Thomasboro, four step children, three granddaughters, seven great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and several step-grandchildren. She is also preceded in death by three sisters and six brothers.

Mrs. Franklin graduated from Urbana High School in 1934. She was head cook at the University of Illinois for many years. She later was employed by Carle Clinic. She was a member of Pennsylvania Ave. Baptist Church, Urbana and the Forever Young Group. She was also a member of Philip Center Senior Group.
