Obituary

URBANA, IL- Vivian Harmon, age 95, of Urbana, died at 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Meadowbrook Health Center, Clark-Lindsey Village, Urbana.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 29, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church, 304 S. Race St., Urbana. Dr. John E. Sims will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 A.M., Saturday, at the church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Urbana.

Mrs. Harmon was born December 1, 1912, at Etna, IL, a daughter of Fount L. Wilson and Zola Storm Wilson. She married Harley H. Harmon on July 4, 1938 in Louisville, KY. He died September 22, 1968.

Survivors include a son, Dan Harmon and his wife Camille, of Urbana and one grandson, Justin Harmon of Louisville, Colorado. Also surviving is her brother: Delbert Wilson of Stockton, California as well as her 2 sisters, Beverly Kamerer of Mahomet, Illinois and Betty Rector of Casper, Wyoming.

She was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother Eva Lena Hammond Wilson, one sister and four brothers: Christine Wilson Apperson, John Wilson, Gene Wilson, Leonard Wilson, Dale Wilson and one grandson, Collin Jay Harmon.

Mrs. Harmon was a 50 year member of the Hope Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Urbana Women's Club. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Urbana and the Nicene Sunday School Class.

Memorials may be made to the Collin J. Harmon Youth Christian Education Fund at the First United Methodist Church of Urbana, 304 S. Race St., Urbana, IL 61801 or an organization of the donor's choice.
