Virginia Lavon O'Donnell, age 93, of Savoy, Ill., died 5:00 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2007, at The Carle Arbours in Savoy, Ill. Funeral services will be Friday, April 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 South Philo Road, Urbana with interment at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign. Pastor James Wright officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. O'Donnell was born in rural Urbana on December 29, 1913, the daughter of Arthur M. and Naomi Knott Good. She married Cletus D. O'Donnell on June 16, 1932 at Attica, IN. He preceded her in death on October 31, 1986. She is survived by three Sons; William F. (Diann), Kenneth J. and Raymond P. O'Donnell all of Champaign, eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and sisters; Marion Mitziga of Munster, IN, Beverly Frederick and JoAnne Arie Daguio both of Urbana. She is preceded in death by parents, husband, daughter; Louise O'Donnell, son; Arthur O'Donnell, five sisters and one brother.

Mrs. O'Donnell attended Urbana High School and was employed by Stipes Publishing Co. as a binder, typesetter and proofreader. She later worked for Inland-Midland Telephone Co. in accounting and bookkeeping. She was an avid card player and was a member of a card club. She also enjoyed embroidery and word search puzzles.
