Verna Cord, 94 of Champaign died at 5:35 a.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2007 at Helia Healthcare Center, Champaign.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2008 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana. Burial will be at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Mayview. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Cord as born on May 2, 1913 in Lawrence Port, Indiana, the daughter of Anderson and Carrie Bell Miller Bundy. She married Dwight W. Cord on May 15, 1934 in Louisville, Kentucky. He died on March 6, 2003.

Also surviving are two sons; Jon D. Cord of Champaign and James D. Cord of Tolono, three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Mrs. Cord was a member of the 1st Baptist Church, Tolono.
