Valerie Grove, 62, of Champaign, died Thursday January 17, 2019 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana from congestive heart failure.

She was born in Pontiac on July 12, 1956, the youngest daughter of Thomas and Gail (Moore) Grove.  She graduated from Champaign Central High School and attended Parkland College.

Survivors include her daughter, Amanda (Jenn) Caldwell of Sharpsburg, GA and her sister, Thomasine (Mike) Riney of Savoy and her beloved cat, Sundance.

Valerie was employed for many years in the bindery department at Patterson Company.  She loved reading, collected cookbooks, was a great baker and was kind to all animals.  Valerie had an encyclopedic knowledge of American cinema.  She lived her life the way she wanted…and who could ask for more than that!  She requested no services.
