May 18, 1971 — Apr 20, 2013
Travis Wade Barrow, 41, of Urbana joined Jesus' Holy Land at 12:18 p.m., Saturday, April 20, 2013 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria with his mother by his side.
A visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 25th at Calvary Baptist Church, 2106 E. Windsor Ln., Urbana, with Rev. Gary Gritton officiating. Burial will be held at Mt. Travis was born May 18, 1971 at Burnham City Hospital in Champaign, Illinois to parents Jon Barrow and Lavonne (Brown) Barrow Brunner. Travis was delivered by his future step-father, Dr. Robert Brunner. Travis' parents and step-father survive.
Also surviving are brothers: David William Barrow (Kim), of Tolono, Wesley Holt Barrow, of Urbana, step-brothers: Robert William Brunner, II, of Chicago, William Robert Brunner, of Champaign, nieces: Amanda Bear, Anna Lavonne Barrow, nephew: Jackson Louis Brunner, grandmother: Loma Brown and dear friend and academic tutor: Barb Charleston, of Philo. Travis was preceded in death by grandparents: William Barrow, Janette Songer, and W.T. Brown, step-grandparents: William and Mildred Lucille Brunner, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Travis attended Calvary Baptist Church, where he was saved. He enjoyed living on his family's farm, and often used his golf cart to complete his chores and tour the property. Travis often enjoyed mowing the grass around the home. When he was born, doctors speculated he may only live for another year or two. Due to the wonderful care he received and the healing love he received from the Lord and his family, Travis survived well into adulthood.
Memorial contributions may be made in Travis' honor to Calvary Baptist Church, 2106 E. Windsor Ln., Urbana, IL 61802.
