Thomas A. Roughton 60 of Philo died at 8:20 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2016 at the Champaign County Nursing Home, Urbana.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana, Rev. Kathy Murphy will officiate. A reception will be held from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Tom was born on November 10, 1955 in Urbana, the son of Howard and Mary Williams Roughton.

Survivors include five brothers; Jimmy Roughton of Champaign, Harold (Evelyn) Roughton of Savoy, twin brother; John (Mara) Roughton of Philo, David (Lisa) Roughton of Normal and Mike (Susan) Roughton of Urbana.

He was a janitor and baker.

Tom was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Urbana.

He was an avid Cubs and Illini fan, radio controlled planes, cars, played softball for many years and was a baseball card collector. Tom loved to play whiffle ball with his nieces and nephews; John, Phillip, Matt, Mark, Alicia, Gracie, Ben, Madeline and Amber.

He loved spending time with family and enjoyed the dinners his niece Christine provided for the many gatherings.

The family asks everyone to wear their favorite sports shirt.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Champaign County Humane Society or the Large Animal Rescue in Dewey.
