Thomas Joseph Hauersperger, Sr., age 76, beloved husband of Joan Ann Hauersperger, went to be with our Lord on November 8, 2007. Tom was born in Urbana, Illinois in 1931. He attended St. Mary's School and Urbana High School. He served in the Marines during the Korean War.

Tom was a union plumber with Local 149 for fifty years. He had many talents including woodworking and carpentry skills. He was a master homebuilder and enjoyed creating intricate wood toys for children. Another of his hobbies was traveling the countryside in his motor home.

He attended First Christian Church in Champaign, IL. Survivors include his wife Joan, to whom he was married for 51 years, and his children Lynn, Thomas Jr., and Teri and grandchildren April and Debra. Other survivors include brothers, Russell and Jerry, and Sister Alice.

He is to be cremated with a memorial later.
