Thomas E. Clegg, 70, of Champaign, died Monday, July 12, 2010, at home. Graveside services will on Thursday, July 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery, Urbana, Chaplain Vera Duncanson officiating. Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Clegg was born October 10, 1939 in Urbana, the son of Lincoln Abraham and Lela (Anderson) Clegg. He married Lena E. (Holeman) Clegg on May 1, 1965 in Champaign and she survives. He is also survived by sons; Matthew T. Clegg (Bobbie) of Urbana, Mark T. Clegg of Champaign; granddaughters, Sierra Clegg and Lauren Reifsteck; aunt, Margaret Maggio and several cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Clegg is a graduate of Urbana High School and attended Parkland College. He worked for the US Postal Service from 1962 to 1995 as postal clerk and bulk mail tech. He was part-owner of Vintage Antique Shop and had interest in other shops throughout the area. He was an avid book collector and enjoyed reading. He was Assistant Scout Master of Troop 13 and Scout Master of Troop 127 in Prairielands Council. He also served in the US Air Force from 1958 to 1961.
