Theodore "Ted" Minear, 65 of Champaign, died at 7:40 p.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at home. Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 2 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Mayview with Mervin Collier officiating. Military rites will be accorded by VFW Post 5520, Champaign.

Mr. Minear was born March 5, 1946 in Champaign, the son of Harley and Juanita (Walden) Minear. He served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and worked for sanitary services in Champaign/Urbana for many years.

He is survived by four sisters; Nancy Hardin, Barbara Collier, Betty Logan and Linda Simmons and is preceded in death by his parents.
