MAHOMET - On Apr. 1, 2014, Thelma Maxine Colclasure, 92, of Mahomet, departed this earth, bound for her heavenly home, to be with Jesus, her wonderful Savior and Lord, and to reunite with loved ones waiting there to greet her.

A service celebrating her life and "homegoing" will be held at 3 p.m., Sat., Apr. 5, at Mahomet Christian Church, 908 N. Lake of the Woods Rd, Mahomet. Pastor David Johnson will officiate.

Thelma was born Nov. 13, 1921, in Sadorus, Ill., the third of five children born to John and Clara (Cochran) Spencer. She married Delmar Charles Colclasure on Dec. 7, 1940, in Mahomet. He preceded her in death on Dec. 9, 2009. Thelma was also preceded in death by one sister, Iva Mae Mason; and three brothers, Stanley, Ralph, and Charles Spencer. Survivors include:

One brother: Norman (Doreen) Spencer of Champaign;

Four children: Antoinette "Toni" Warner of Urbana, John (Marsha) Colclasure of Mahomet, Sandy Colclasure of Urbana, and Jeanie (Cliff) Mitchem of Bella Vista, Ark.;

Six grandchildren: Jackson and Scott Warner, Amy (Curt) Ware, Leslie Hess, John and Marty Colclasure;

Eleven great grandchildren: Sarah (Brian) Foley; Parker, Landon and Breckyn Hess; Jonathan and Ryan Ware; Holley, Hayden, Aerial, Noah and Cora Colclasure; and

Two great-great grandchildren: Brage and Emmett Foley.
