Terry H. Clark, 75 of Hoopeston formerly of Champaign and Philo died at 10:24 p.m. Friday, October 7, 2011 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle from complications after being diagnosed with mesothelioma in June of this year.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at the Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana; Rev. Cindy Shepherd will officiate. Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery, Philo. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Clark was born on September 20, 1936 in Urbana, the son of Howard Bentley and Anita Myler Clark. He married Beverly Jean Harris.
Survivors include two sons; Terry L. (Debra) Clark of Mahomet, Rick Clark of Champaign, one daughter; Kathryn (Joe Bonwell-Deceased) Martin of Mahomet, six grandchildren; Kimberly Wilkins, Travis Clark, Clayton Clark, Chandler Bonwell, Michaela Bonwell, Holly Martin, four great grandchildren; Preston Wilkins, Parker Wilkins, Vance Clark, Cambria Clark, his life long partner; Blondia Bell, her son; Brian (Jill) Bell and his pets; Sadie, Inky and Rainbow.
Mr. Clark was preceded in death by one son; Greg Clark, Brother; Stanley Clark and a grandson; Travis Josiah Bonwell.
Mr. Clark was a supervisor in the gas plant for AC Humko and retired from the Vermilion County Housing Authority as a maintenance supervisor.
He was a member of the Philo Presbyterian Church, Army National Guard and the American Motorcycle Association. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, cars, animals and his family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Vermilion County Humane Society or Mesothelioma Research.
