Terrie G. Halberstadt, 76, of Champaign passed away at 7:26 p.m. on December 26, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on May 28, 1947, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Walter & Martha (Parker) Jarvis. She married Robert Halberstadt on October 7, 1983, in Urbana. He survives. Terrie is survived by her daughters- Leslie (David) Myers of Urbana, Tracie (Duane) Fitch of Ogden; sons- David (Lindsay) Edwards of Whitestown, IN, Bobby (Denise) Halberstadt of St. Joseph and Bill (Amy) Halberstadt of Urbana; Grandchildren- Heather Doney, Amber Hall, Spencer & Parker Fitch, Sophia & Jackson Edwards, Bailey Barton, Casey Petkunas, Cole Halberstadt, Cody Halberstadt, Carly Skadden; 11 Great Grandchildren; Sister- Sharon Lewis. She is preceded by her parents & brother-in-law, George Lewis. Terrie was an avid Illini sports fan and enjoyed all forms of race car driving, especially Sprint cars. To know her was to love her. She was a shinning example of courage, grace, loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and friend. She was a beautiful soul and will be missed by all who knew her.Special thanks go out to Amy Halberstadt and the Carle Hospice team for the loving care they gave Terrie during her illness.
