Susan Carling, 60, of Urbana passed away at 7:42 p.m., Monday, October 30, 2017 at Carle Foundation Hospital. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm., Friday, November 3rd at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, where Susan's cremation will be performed following services.

Susan was born November 17, 1956 in Urbana, Illinois. She is survived by her mother, Barbara (Adair) Carling, of Urbana, and her sister, Shelly Carling, of Chicago. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Barker and Agnes Adair.

Susan was a member of Faith Church in Urbana, and graduated from Marquette School in Champaign. She was a client of Developmental Services Center in Champaign for 40 years, and was a member of Parkland Pops, Best Buddies, and Girl Scouts. Susan also competed in the Special Olympics. She was a sassy little lady who enjoyed dancing and shopping. She also loved to color and latch hook. She collected snowmen and dolls, and was especially fond of her Cabbage Patch Kid, "Sweetpea."
