CHAMPAIGN, IL- Steven Alan Newman, 47, of Champaign, IL, died at 5:09 P.M., Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at his residence.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, October 6, 2008 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL. Burial will be held at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign. Visitation will be held from 2-4 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Steven was born November 6, 1960 at Champaign, IL, a son of Richard D. and Ruth M. Delaney Newman. Survivors include his parents, Richard of Fisher, IL, his mother, Ruth of Champaign; a son, Craig Newman of Savoy, and a daughter, Stacy Newman of Champaign. 2 grandchildren and his brother, Scott Newman of Urbana, also survives.

Steven graduated from Champaign Central High School in 1978 and worked for Southland and Ryder for over 25 years. He loved old muscle cars, especially Ford Mustangs.
