Obituary

Stanley Barneske died in peace at home with his family, as we touched him and gently reassured him that we would be all right without him, and he could go to be with his savior without remorse.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 27, 2011 at The Vineyard Church in Urbana. The Vineyard Church Pastors will officiate.

Stanley was a true provider who's only aspirations were to make certain his family would be taken care of, and who truly thought of others before himself.

Stanley also died as a man of God, although he did not start out that way. He was an inspirational witness to the mercy and power of his maker, after being delivered from his own descent, when he felt compelled to "Put down the bottle, pick up the cross, and follow me" as he would tell the story. Afterwards Stanley became a Deacon at The Vineyard Church and remained so for 30 years.

Stanley will be sorely missed by all of those who loved him, and were touched by his generosity, and his charisma.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lela May (Brandie), and possibly his brother Richard.

He is survived by his wife, Sally Barneske; his brothers Bill and Frances; sisters, Pat, Barb, and Theresa; as well as his son, Ray (Eva) Barneske, his daughter, Essie (David) Spencer; his grandchildren, Brandon, Kaitlyn, Chris, also Chris, Patience, and Chaz; and last but not least, his great grandchildren, Tafadzwa, Kayla, Shane, and Cedric.
