CHAMPAIGN, IL- Somboune Phansiri, 95, of Champaign, IL, passed away at 1:35 P.M., Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the C-U Regional Rehab Center in Savoy, IL.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL. A visitation will be held from 6-8 P.M. Friday evening at the funeral home.

Mrs. Phansiri was born on February 4, 1919 in Laos, a daughter of Pat and Sy Sengsavang. She married Chanh Phansiri in 1945 in Thailand. He preceded her in death on October 18, 2000. Survivors include a daughter, Somkhith Saymiknha of Champaign, six grandchildren, Seng Hemsouvanh, Tiva Phongsymay, Khansith Saymiknha, Sathith Saymiknha, Santi Saymiknha, Phinith Saymiknha, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
