Shirley Tatman, 71 of Champaign, died 7:35 P.M., Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at Carle Foundation Hospital.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A. M., June 18, 2008 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel & Crematory 1900 S. Philo Rd. Urbana. Rev. Terry Strom will officiate. Burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery in Urbana. Visitation 6-8 P.M., Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at the funeral home.

Shirley Tatman was born April 15, 1937 in Madison, WI a daughter of Paul and Nancy H. Greenwell Embry. She married James P. Tatman on February 14, 1958 in Bement. He preceded her in death on April 8, 1981.

Survivors include four children: Carl "Pete" William (Teri) Tatman, Cheryl Lynn (Ron) Carson, Jennifer Ann (Fred) Holhubner, and Nancy Elaine (John) Kinsel, three brothers: James Leo Greenwell, Floyd Andrew Greenwell, and Richard Allen Greenwell, two sisters: Mary Ann Miller, Jenny Agnes Rodgers, eight grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, one niece, and two nephews.

Mrs. Tatman was a line worker at Southland Distribution for many years. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Urbana. She enjoyed reading, crocheting hats and scarves for schools and baby blankets for the Crisis Nursery, camping, and spending time with family.
