Shirley Nadine Miller 75 of Champaign died at 11:25 p.m. Monday, January 1, 2010 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana, the Rev. David Nihiser officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Miller was born on December 6, 1934 in Hammond, IN the daughter of David Lester and Edna Mae Wheeler Nihiser. She married Buddy Gene Miller on December 20, 1975 in Urbana; he died on Sept. 7, 2000.

Survivors include one daughter; Nancy Mason of Champaign, two sons; Joe Tilton of Morrow, GA and Edward Tilton Jr. of Dyer, IN, one step-daughter; Pam Miller of St. Joseph and one step-son; Robert Miller of Urbana, one brother; David Lester Nihiser Jr. of Burnettsville, IN, one sister; Margaret Charlene Larkin of Beaumont, TX, and five grandchildren; Kristina Johnson, James Edward Tilton, Mark Allan Tilton, James Ducey and Ashleigh Ducey,

Mrs. Miller retired as owner of Miller Appliances Heating and Air Conditioning, a hostess for the Jolly Rogers for many years and loved to work with the public.

She was a member of the Urbana American Legion, loved garage sales, and an avid animal lover.

Mrs. Miller was a loving and loyal mother and sister leaving behind many caring nieces and nephews.
