Shirley Mae Fieldbinder, 84, of Savoy, formerly of Urbana, passed away at 7:35 A.M. on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Carle Foundation Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana. A Visitation will be held prior to the funeral from 10:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Shirley was born on December 13, 1930 in Champaign to parents Myron Howard and Ann Mae (Rosenberry) Rowe. They preceded her in death. In 1948 she married Robert E. Fieldbinder, he passed away in 1986. Also preceding her in death was her daughter Bobbi Jean Gudgel.

She is survived by three daughters, Cynthia (George) Hubert of Fairmount, IL, Rebecca (Gary) West of Valparaiso, IN, Amy (David) Tomasko of Columbus, OH, eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, brother Clifford E. Rowe of Grand Rapids, MI, and her beloved Shih Tzu, Travis.

Shirley was a graduate of Champaign High School, class of 1948. She worked for the University of Illinois as a Payroll Clerk III in Academic Human Resources from 1976 until she retired in 1997. She enjoyed reading, quilting, knitting, nanoblocks and crossword puzzles. One of her great joys in life was the many loyal doggie companions she had through the years.
