Sean David Peters, 46, the eldest son of Charles L. and Earleen (McKinley) Peters, of Urbana, IL., passed away at home in San Marcos, CA on June 23, 2017, of natural causes.

A Memorial service will be held, at 10:30 a.m.on, Saturday, August 5, 2017, at the First Baptist Church at Savoy, 1602 Prospect at Burwash, Savoy, IL., with Pastor Dick Smith officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Monticello Township Cemetery in Monticello, IL.

Sean was born on March 10, 1971 in Shreveport, LA. He graduated from Del Valle High School in Austin, TX and studied at Southwest Texas State, in San Marcos, TX.

He was a paramedic/flight medic in the United States Air Force and served in Desert Storm.

Sean has three son's, Jarrod Peters of Kyle, TX; Andrew Peters of Houston, TX; and Darian Peters serving in the US Marine Corps in San Diego, CA. He has a daughter, Alyssa (Cody) Wilson, Muenster, TX and a grandson, Ryder Wilson.

Also surviving are a brother, Aaron L. (Barbara) Peters, of Wentzville, MO and a sister, Shelly (Roy) Dunaway, of Urbana, IL, a maternal grandfather, Earl Dean (Porky) McKinley, of Champaign, IL.

3 uncles, Jeff (Joyce) Peters, of Meridian, MS; Tom (Linda) McKinley and Tim (Camille) McKinley, of Urbana, IL. and an aunt, Kathryn (Louis) Hillesland, Pleasant Prairie, WI. In addition he has 4 nephews, Logan and Brandon Peters and Josh Cornwell, of Wentzville MO, and Connor Dunaway, of Urbana, IL.

Sean was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Florence (Leonard) McKinley, and his paternal grandparents, William Harvey and Anne Lois (Goss) Peters
