Sally Ann Tarter 75 of Urbana died at 8:10 a.m. Thursday, September 12, 2013 in Urbana.

Private family services will be held. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Tarter was born on July 14, 1938 in St. Joseph, the daughter of Fred and Selma Green Rosenberger. She married Orel Tarter Jr. on July 23, 1955; he died on May 20, 1983.

Survivors include one daughter; Debbie (Greg) Eastin of Urbana, two sons; Eddy and (Angie) Tarter of Urbana and Andy (Tricia) Tarter of Homer, one brother; Fred (Sharon) Rosenberger of Armstrong, one sister; Peg ((Ron) Eldridge of Homer, six grandchildren; Brad (Keri) Eastin, Amanda (Jason) Allen, Dustin Tarter, Russell (Kerianne) Tarter, Savannah Tarter, Brooke Tarter and Gavin Tarter and one great grandson; Elliott Allen.

She was preceded in death by one sister; Linda Reed and two infant brothers; Jimmie and Tommy.

Mrs. Tarter was a Hairstylist.

Memorial contributions may be made to Barnes Jewish Hospital for ALS research or the Champaign County Humane Society.
