Ruth Amy Stevens 92 of Champaign died at 3:15 a.m. Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Private graveside services will be held at the Danville National Cemetery, Danville. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Stevens was born of April 12, 1920 in Plainfield, Indiana the daughter of Herman and Cora May Stone Peacock. She married Robert Franklin Stevens on September 12, 1948 in Whittier, California he died on May 11, 2007.

Survivors include three children; William R. Stevens, Amy L. Stevens and James A. Stevens all of Champaign, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sisters; Esther Peacock, Mary C. McLain and Margaret E. Smith. Mrs. Stevens was a secretary, bookkeeper and retired from farming.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Tolono.
