Ruth McKay, 90, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 20, 2013. She was born in Chicago on January 22, 1923 to Paul and Anna (Kubik) Ciz.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 23 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Renner Wikoff Chapel in Urbana. Funeral services will be held at the Chapel on Wednesday, July 24 at 11:00 a.m.; her pastor, Dan Franklin, will officiate. Burial will take place Thursday, July 25, 12:00 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Evergreen Park, Illinois.

Mrs. McKay attended Lindblom High School and Wilson Junior College in Chicago. She married John T. McKay, Sr. on January 16, 1944. Ruth was the club accountant at LaGrange Country Club until her retirement in 1988. She moved to Urbana in 2005 and became actively involved at Grace Bible Church.

Mrs. McKay was preceded in death by her husband and by her son, Brian. Her parents, two brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.

Survivors include a daughter, Betty (Philip) Owen, a stepson, John T. (Donna) McKay, Jr., eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
