Ruth Mautz Hamra 80 of Pekin formerly of Urbana died at 1:50 a.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Eastlawn Cemetery, Urbana. There will be no public visitation. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Ruth was born on August 17, 1932 in St. Elmo, the daughter of Charles Mautz and Bonnie Johnston Mautz Porter.

Survivors include one son; Dean (Gloria) Hamra of Arlington Heights, one daughter; Renee (Lee) Long of Houston, Texas, one brother; Louis Mautz of Austin, Texas, two grandchildren; Kinsey Hamra and Jared (Arianna) Long and one great grandson; Cash Long.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

Ruth was a teacher with District 108, Pekin, teaching the hearing impaired at Franklin School and Language Arts at Edison School.

She was a member of the Pekin United Methodist Church and the Pekin Hospital Auxiliary.
