CHAMPAIGN, IL- Ruth Marie Hale, 82, of Champaign, died at 6:43 PM, Friday, February 13, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M., February 18, 2009, at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL. Rev. Paul Simpkins will officiate. Burial will be held at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign. Visitation will be held from 6-8PM, Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hale was born October 16, 1926 at Urbana, a daughter of Leroy and Juanita Peifer Moody. She married Earl Kenneth Hale on May 5, 1956 at Champaign, IL. He survives. Also surviving are two sisters, Dorothy Fender of Mahomet, and Wilma Ross of Farmer City, IL. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her mother, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Mrs. Hale attended Urbana schools and worked for Illinois Glove Factory in Champaign for 10 years and later worked as a seamstress for Collegiate Cap & Gown in Champaign for 25 years. She was a member of the Illini Collector Car Club and she enjoyed candy-making, antique cars and crochet.
