Obituary

Ruth L. Cooper Boley 71 of Urbana left her home at 1:50 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 to be with our Lord.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2009 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana. The Rev. Marilyn Moore will officiate. Burial will be at Eastlawn Cemetery, Urbana. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

She was born to Eli and Pauline Stiebner Cooper on March 25, 1938 at home in Weldon.

On February 5, 1955 in Veedersburg, Indiana she married Howard (Sonny) Boley Jr. he survives.

Also surviving are the five children they were blessed with; Ricky (Cheryl) Boley of Urbana, Arthur "Johnny" (Vicky) Boley of Urbana, William "Freddie" (Jessica) Boley of Shelbyville, Kentucky, Linda (Jim) Kuhn of Rantoul and Susan (Bud) Boley of Tolono.

She had eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; James Esposito and Amanda Good of Rantoul, Leveda Boley of Urbana, Cheryl Shonkwiler of Tolono, Brandon, Ashlee, Christina, Trevor Boley all of Urbana, Andrea Boley of Kentucky, Layla and Jamie Kuhn of Champaign.

Alexandra Esposito, Jaricka and Catherine Good, Breanna Navolt of Rantoul, Cassandra and Damian Bunner of Savoy, Jessica and Jacob Shonkwiler of Tolono and Johannah Goetting of St. Joseph, and Devon Kuhn of Cissna Park.

Twelve brothers and five sisters; Alfred Cooper of Champaign, Wilbur Cooper of Monticello, Vernon "Ike" Cooper of Kentucky, Vern "Mike" Cooper of Mattoon, Clyde Cooper and Fred Cooper of Michigan, Ron Cooper of Arizona, Butch and Jackie Roberts of Monticello, Penny Stockwell of New York, Linda Burgess of Oregon, Carol Meeker of Monticello, Eric Cooper, Albert Cooper, Richey Cooper, Sonja Cooper, Cheryl Cooper all of Germany.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters; Amanda Skillings and Wilma Mathews and her Aunt who raised her Wilma Bennett.

Ruth was a homemaker and stayed home and raised her children. She was also a neighborhood mother to many children where she had lived for 54 years. She enjoyed family cookouts and attending the Cowboy Church in Deland. She loved visiting with her children, grandchildren and her nieces and nephews including Penny (John) Grice of Ludlow, Eli (Jean) Mathews of Rantoul and Tammy (Robert) Davis of Mahomet.
