Russell Mark Lovingfoss 76 of Urbana died at 11:30 p.m. Monday, December 20, 2010 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana,

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana, the Rev. Cindy Shepherd and Rev. Dr. John Sims will officiate. Burial will be in the Locust Grove Cemetery, Philo. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Lovingfoss was born on January 17, 1934 in Philo, the son of Richard and Virginia Brand Lovingfoss. He married Lola Ann Schaffer on January 21, 1956 in Germany; she died December 9, 1999.

Survivors include his mother of Urbana, one daughter; Cheryl Tatro of Joliet, two sons; John R. Lovingfoss of Houston, Texas and Daniel Lovingfoss of Grants Pass, Oregon, one brother; John F. Lovingfoss of San Antonio, Texas, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Mr. Lovingfoss was a retail store manager.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of First Presbyterian Church, Philo. He did volunteer work for Carle Foundation Hospital.
