Ruby E. Welborn, 87, of Urbana died Sunday, April 13, 2008 at Carle Foundation Hospital.

Funeral services will be Noon, Thursday, April 17, 2008 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel & Crematory 1900 S. Philo Rd. Urbana. Rev. Tom Anders will officiate. Visitation will be an hour prior. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens.

Ruby E. Welborn was born November 20, 1920 in Allegree, KY a daughter of Otho and Lola Willis Francies. She is survived by two daughters Marilyn "Jean" Ogle, Lynda K. Welborn, five brothers and sisters Carl Francies, Ruthel Crafton, Clotine Adams, Mary Endres, Geraldine Franklin, four grandchildren Ed (Julie) Ogle, Paula Ogle, Jeff (April) Ogle, and Anita Braid, six great grandchildren Melisa, Kyle, Lindsey, Meaghan, Trevor, and Kaylee, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers, a sister, and two grandchildren.

Ruby worked as a waitress for the Clifford Jaccobs Forging Restaurant until she retired in 1979. She had a love for flowers and enjoyed gardening, quilting, the cooking channel, the Chicago Cubs, family get togethers, her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
