Rosemarie Helms 90 of Savoy formerly of Peoria Heights died at 4:05 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2017 at home.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at Lutheran Cemetery Peoria. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Helms was born on July 13, 1926 in Peoria, the daughter of John and Anna Borgwardt Wiedeman. She married James H. Helms Jr. on June 22, 1946 in Peoria; he died on July 4, 1999.

Survivors include two sons; James H. (Jennifer) Helms III of Peoria, Kerry (Nohra Mateus-Pinilla) Helms of Urbana, four grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Helms enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, gardening and flowers.
