Rosalie Jolene Peacock, 92, of Urbana, Illinois; Murray, Kentucky; and Chillicothe, Illinois passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017 with family by her side. She was born to Ralph Aubrey Eaton and Eva Marie Tolby on May 25, 1925 in Wapella, Illinois. She married Myrle Wayne Peacock on January 12, 1946 in Clinton, Illinois. They were married for 63 years. Myrle, the love of her life, preceded her in death on April 23, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her brother David Ralph Eaton and her sister Donna Lorraine Weaver. Jolene received her associate's degree in library science from Illinois Central College and worked as a medical librarian at St. Francis Hospital in Peoria, Illinois for ten years. Jolene's passion and obsession was miniatures. She traveled to many countries with other miniature enthusiasts collecting miniatures for the dollhouses and room boxes that Myrle built for her. Several newspaper articles were written about her love of miniatures. She was also an avid reader. Jolene was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her sister, Joyce Marie Fink of Beason, Illinois and her five children and their spouses: Cecile (Gary) Nessler of Sun City, Arizona; Douglas (Martha) Peacock of Chillicothe, Illinois; Shelley (Gary) Houser of Urbana, Illinois; Becki (Bob) Avila of Metamora, Illinois; and Lisa (Scott) Funcannon of Austin, Texas. She is also survived by eleven (11) grandchildren, nineteen (19) great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
