Ronald Ward Walton, 66, of White Heath passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, May 1, 2009, surrounded by family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Marietta Walton; parents Hubert and Marvene Walton of Sullivan, IL; sons Daniel Walton, Bret Walton of Dallas, TX, and Birk Walton of St. Pete, FL; daughter Beth (Brett) Walker of Walton, KY; grandchildren Ashton Walton and Brandon, Zoyie, and Jackson Walker; sister Cheryl (Lee) Triefenback of Smithon, IL; and brothers Tim Walton of Bloomington, IL, and Tom (Terri) Walton of Olathe, KS. His family and close friends will celebrate his life with a private gathering.

Ron was an avid supporter of the Little Illini Soccer Club (LISC) since 1987. He participated as a parent, coach, and club president for two terms. During his presidency, he promoted participation of disadvantaged youth through the LISC scholarship fund.
