Ronald L. Lewis, 86 of Champaign, died at 10:52 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Country Health Nursing home, Gifford. Funeral services will be held at1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana; Rev. Richard McGuire will officiate. Burial will be in the G.A.R. Cemetery, Homer with military rites accorded. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Lewis was born on July 11, 1930; the son of Pearl Lewis. He married Aleta Elston on April 9, 1951 in Homer; she died on April 1, 2003. Survivors include two children, Ronald(Sue) Lewis of Danville, IL and Linda(Edward) Neeley of Champaign, IL; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Mr. Lewis was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Korean Conflict and a retired cement finisher. He was a member of the American Legion Post 71, Urbana. Ron loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
