Ronald L. Goode 52, of Urbana died at 2:30 a.m. Monday, December 21, 2009 at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 26, 2009 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana. The Rev. Mike Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Goode was born on January 31, 1957 in Champaign, the son of Robert Lyle and Betty Henderson Goode. He married Patricia on September 4, 1999 in Champaign, she survives.

Also surviving are his mother and step-father; Betty and Carroll (Ted) Franklin of Champaign, son; Robert Goode of Champaign, step-daughters; Shannon Brannin of Weldon, Amber King of Thomasboro, Adrienne DeBarge of Champaign and Danielle DeBarge of Urbana, two sisters; Brenda Ennen of Champaign and Marla Castor of Savoy, step-brother; Richard Franklin of Thomasboro and two step-sisters; Marie Clark of Champaign and Carol Traxler of Philo and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Mr. Goode was a fan of NASCAR and radio controlled airplanes and cars. He enjoyed auctions.
