Ronald Dean Campbell, 69, of Pesotum passed away at 2:10 A.M. on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Carle Foundation Hospital. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at Renner-Wikoff Chapel in Urbana. Rev. Michael Wider will officiate. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 26, 2015 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Military rites will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Dean was born on December 10, 1945 in Champaign to parents Irvin H. Campbell and Martha P. Hallam Campbell. They preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death was his son, Colin, his significant other, Kande Bingaman, one brother and two sisters.

He is survived by his brother, Irvin H. Campbell Jr. (Sally) of Orange Park, FL, his sister, Rebecca Campbell (Jeffrey Deem) of Urbana and many nieces and nephews.

Dean went to Urbana High School, after high school he joined the United States Navy. Upon being honorably discharged from the Navy he went to Mr. John's School of Beauty. He was a self-employed hairdresser for over 40 years and was the Illinois State Hairdressing Champion from 1974-1976.

He enjoyed gardening, cooking and fishing with his family. He was also an avid reader.

Contributions may be made in Dean's memory to the American Cancer Society, the Wounded Warrior Project or to the family to help with the funeral expenses.
