Rochelle (Chelle) M. Warfield passed away on August 18, 2026 at the age of 82.

Chelle was born in Chicago, IL to Walter and Camela Wilson. In 1964 she married James Warfield of Granite City, IL at Ingleside IL. They adopted four children: Joseph Glennon, Mark Alan, Anna Martina McQuillan and Christina Lee Roberts. They had seven Grandchildren and one great grandson. Chelle had one brother Walter Wilson and two sisters Lucille Sachs and

Edna Pirok. Chelle was predeceased by her husband, her parents, her sisters and daughter Anna

During the late 1960’s Jim and Chelle served in the U.S. Pease Corps in La Paz, Bolivia. While in La Paz they adopted their first child, Glenn. This is a also where her passion in life started, which was a trip anywhere in the world. Her favorite places were China, Greece and Papua New Guinea.

Chelle’s other passions were her grandchildren, the theater and spending time with her bestie of over 40 years, Barb Selby. They enjoyed weekly lunches, taking girl trips both in the states and abroad and any other mischief they could get into.

A celebration of life will be held at future date.
