PALM BAY, FLA.- Roberta Green Mathis Dyson, 88, died December 24, 2006 in Palm Bay, Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Dyson, parents, an older brother, Robert Green and a niece. She is survived by her two children, Jeffrey of Florida and Susan Newton of Illinois, as well as a younger brother, Gail of Fithian, Illinois. 5 Grandchildren and 3 nephews also survive.

Born and raised in Fithian, IL, Roberta lived in Peoria, Champaign, and Rantoul, as well as wintering in Florida. In 2001, she moved to Florida permanently. She was married to E. Grant Mathis for 27 years until his passing in 1968. In 1974, Roberta married Louis Dyson of Urbana, who passed away in 1993. Mrs. Dyson was active in golfing, gardening and was a member of the Lincolnshire Country Club in Champaign for several years.

Visitation will be held from 10:00AM-12:00 Noon on Saturday, January 6, 2006 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
