URBANA, IL- Robert M. Patterson, 72, of Urbana, Illinois died at 12:25 P.M., Sunday, December 10, 2006 at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, December 14, 2006 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 405 W. Clark St., Champaign, Illinois. Father Dennis Spohrer will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5:30PM-8:00PM, Wednesday evening at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana, IL. Burial will be held at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, Illinois.

Mr. Patterson was born May 22, 1934 at Chicago, Illinois, a son of James and Rose Corrigan Patterson. Survivors include; 4 Children: Micheal Miles Patterson of Los Angeles, CA, Patrick Miles Patterson of Urbana, IL, Lisa Joy Patterson of Urbana, and Robert Miles Patterson, Jr. of Champaign, IL. 5 Grandchildren also survive. 1 Brother: Miles Patterson of Kirkwood, MO and 1 Sister: Rosemary Blakemore of Ann Arbor, MI.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James.

Mr. Patterson graduated with a B.S. from Kings Point Merchant Marines Academy in 1957 and sailed around the world as a first mate on a freighter with the Merchant Marines. He was a national sales manager for Sprague Electric for 16 years and worked for other firms after that. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Champaign.
