Robert Eugene Mulgrew 76 of Urbana died at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, November 27, 2014 at the Champaign County Nursing Home, Urbana.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign. There will be no public visitation. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Mulgrew was born on June 16, 1938 in Dubois, PA, the son of John and Zylpha Monehand Mulgrew. He married Wanda Rogene Kaiser on August 14, 1958, she died in 1979.

Survivors include one daughter; Rita (Michael) Herbert of Philo.

He was preceded in death by one brother; Jack Mulgrew and one sister; Rita Mulgrew.

In 1959, Mr. Mulgrew was in the Air Force stationed in Alaska; the year it became a state.

He was an electrician for I.B.E.W 601 and worked on Farm Aid the first year.

Mr. Mulgrew raced stock cars on dirt tracks in his early years.
