Robert "Bob" D. Lincoln, 69, of Urbana, passed away at 10:53 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 2, 2012 at Sidney Christian Church, 305 E. Main St., Sidney. Pastor Barry West will officiate. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 1, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd., Urbana.

Bob was born September 7, 1942 in Terra Haute, IN to parents Dorothy (McKinney) and Donald Lincoln. He married Betty Hasler on February 10, 1962 in Sadorus, IL; she survives.

Other survivors include daughter; Angela K. Duran (Jorge) of Pickerington, OH, brothers; Charles Hollers (Barb) of St. Joseph, William Greer, of Rantoul, Rick Gilikson, of Lafayette, IN, sister; Rosemary Horn of Lafayette, IN, and granddaughters; Jessica Sierra, Terrasa Maria, and Selina Kay Duran, of Pickerington, IN. Bob was preceded in death by his parents.

Bob began his career as a picker at Super Value (formerly J.M. Jones). By the end of his 38 year career with the company, he had become a fork lift mechanic. He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard.

He was a member of the Champaign Sportsman Club, and was an outdoor enthusiast. He especially loved spending time around a camp fire.

Bob will be remembered as a man who always put others before himself, always helping those in need of assistance.
