Robert Lefler, 84, of Urbana passed away at 3:20 p.m. on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Presence Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 3, 2014 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, Urbana. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign. There will be a luncheon following the burial at 12:00 p.m. at the VFW in Champaign.

Robert was born on April 28, 1930 in Oakland, IL to parents Earl and Cora (McCullough) Lefler. They preceded him in death. On January 31, 1954 he married Margaret Ann Appl, she passed away in February 1995. He was also preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

Robert is survived by three daughters; Joyce (Rick) Wilson of Urbana, Julia Lefler of Champaign and Jean Cross of Pesotum, his sisters, Nadine Judy, Georgie Ann Irvin, 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Robert was an Army Veteran. He worked for the U.S. Post Office. He was a member of the VFW, Eagles Lodge and the American Legion.

He loved spending time with his family, playing BINGO and going to the VFW.
