Robert Dean Johnson, 73, of Marshall, IL passed away 8:50 PM Saturday, February 26, 2011 at his home.

Prior to his retirement he had owned and operated Johnson's Handyman Service is Florida and had previous been associated with R.L. Johnson and Sons of Urbana, IL.

He was born July 1, 1937 at Ft. dodge, IA, the son of Ralph Leroy Johnson and Viola Regina McFarland Johnson. He was first married to Ethel Rose Boone on Feb. 5, 1956 and Webster City, IA and she preceded him in death of August 22, 2006. He later married Karon Washburn Millhouse of Oct. 5, 2007 at Marshall, IL.

Surviving are his wife Karon; four daughters, Cindy (Rex) Ferguson of Raleigh, NC, Denise (Ken) Czuberat of El Cajon, CA, Ann (Greg) Musquez-Dickey and Bobbi (Dan) Gordon both of Homer, IL; six brothers, Carl Johnson of Urbana, IL, Daniel Johnson of Mattoon, IL, Jerry Johnson of Urbana, IL, Don Johnson of Oakwood, IL, Bill Johnson of Webster City, IA and Richard Johnson of Kansas City, MO; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He was a member of the Armstrong United Methodist of Marshall, IL, a former member of both the Urbana Lions club and Clark County Optimist Club.

Services in honor of his life will be 10:00 AM Saturday at the Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 Philo Rd, Urbana, IL Burial will be in the Mt. Olive Cemetery at Mayview, IL. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Friday at Renner-Wycoff Chapel. Local visitation will be 4-7 PM Thursday at Pearce Funeral Home, 314 S. 6th St., Marshall, IL. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Marshall Cemetery Association or to Lincolnland Hospice.
