Obituary

Robert "Bob" Dunn, 88, of Oakwood, passed away at 2:15 a.m., Thursday, May 24, 2012 at his home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign, Illinois. Rev. Dennis Skinner will officiate.

Mr. Dunn was born January 25, 1924 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to parents Cora and John Dunn. He married Mary Lou Orr March 13, 1947 in Urbana, Illinois; she survives.

Also surviving are children: James Dunn (Lynne), of Savoy, Nancy Dancker (Pete), of Rantoul, siblings: Charles Dunn (Bobbi), of Manila, Arkansas, Mary Dunn, also of Manila, Arkansas, Eula Skinner, of Bloomington, Illinois, six grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Dunn served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army during WWII in the Philipines.

Bob was a carpenter at Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul, Illinois. He was a member of the Carpenter's Union, as well as the Rantoul Church of the Nazarene. He was a clock maker and enjoyed playing guitar.

Memorial Contributions may be made in Bob's honor to the Rantoul Church of the Nazarene.
